  • Sribu Freelancer Code of Ethics

Last updated on December 24, 2024

Please read the following Freelancer Code of Conduct before registering services with Sribu.

Sribu is a platform that connects service providers (freelancers) with service seekers (clients). The platform includes but is not limited to websites, applications, communication features, and various other tools designed to facilitate the transaction process. We are here to build a comfortable community for all users, as well as a means to express ourselves for freelancers. To make this happen, we expect freelancers to comply with the following rules while using the Sribu platform.

Sribu reserves the right to inspect freelancers’ work, monitor activities both on the platform and in the community, and take necessary actions without notice if they violate the Freelancer Code of Conduct. The Freelancer is hereby deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to Sribu’s monitoring, including project access restrictions, account suspension, or other actions in the event of a violation of the Freelancer Code of Ethics.

    1. Respect All Members
We do not tolerate actions that may offend and/or cause disputes. If Freelancers notice any actions that harass others and/or actions that may offend the honor of others, either on the Sribu platform or through other means of communication related to activities at Sribu, Freelancers are welcome to report the matter to us via email [email protected]. The report will be followed up with further investigation to ensure the comfort and safety of all users.

    2. Confidentiality of Personal Data
Freelancers are fully responsible for the security and confidentiality of the personal data they upload or share. Sribu has provided appropriate security mechanisms to protect data on the platform, but any risks arising from Freelancers’ negligence in maintaining the confidentiality of personal data, such as sharing sensitive information to other parties, are beyond Sribu’s responsibility.

    3. Transaction, Communication and Information Outside the Sribu Platform
Sribu is not responsible for any Transaction, Communication or information exchange conducted outside the Sribu platform or through communication means that are not part of Sribu’s official system. Any risks arising from Transactions, Communications or information exchange outside the platform, including but not limited to leakage of personal data, miscommunication, or disputes, are entirely the responsibility of the Freelancer and the party concerned. If Freelancer experiences any obstacles that prevent Freelancer from complying with this rule, Freelancer is required to inform us via email [email protected] for us to conduct further investigation so that we can help Freelancer determine the next steps.

    4. Freelancer Professionalism
Freelancers at Sribu are required to carry out work with high professionalism in order to maintain Client trust, platform reputation, and project success. This professionalism includes but is not limited to:

        • Communicate in a polite, professional, and non-offensive manner.

        • Provide information about the progress of work regularly to the Client no more than 1×24 hours since the last communication on the workspace (online workspace).

        • Avoid communication outside the official Sribu platform to maintain transparency and security.

        • Manage conflicts or differences of opinion with professionalism, while still using Sribu’s official means of communication.

      •
      • Work Ethics
        • Perform tasks professionally and wholeheartedly.

        • Complete tasks within the deadlines agreed upon by the Freelancer and Client.

        • Submit all deliverables along with any other relevant information to the Client upon project completion.

        • Fully understand the brief before starting the project, including asking questions if any instructions are unclear.

        • Remain flexible to feedback and revisions requested by the Client and implement them as per the agreement.

        • Prioritize Client satisfaction by delivering results that meet or exceed their expectations.

      •
      • Task Management
        • Freelancers are not allowed to assign third parties, sub-license, sub-contract, or transfer tasks or any portion of their rights or obligations to another party without prior written approval from the Client and Sribu.

        • Maintain commitment to the agreed timeline and quality of work, and promptly inform the Client and Sribu if there are obstacles that impede project completion.

        • Do not use the Client’s project or information for personal purposes without the Client’s written consent.

      •
      • Compliance with Payment Terms
        • Freelancers are not allowed to request payment or close the workspace before completing the task.

        • Freelancers are not permitted to request additional payments beyond the agreed price at the start of the project, unless there is a clear and written agreement with the Client through the Sribu platform.

If the Freelancer encounters any issues that prevent them from complying with these rules, the Freelancer is required to inform us via email at [email protected] for further investigation, so we can assist the Freelancer in determining the next steps.
